NEW ZEALAND travel

Throwback Thursday: New Zealand 2012 | Photo Diary

Β

New Zealand has got to be one of my favourite destinations in terms of scenery and activities, especially the South Island. It’s absolutely gorgeous down there, very picturesque. It has been, by far, my most adrenalin-packed holiday.
The few photos that I took were taken using my phone/old camera so bear with me.

We wanted to be able to see and do as much as we could while we were over there so we decided that a group tour was the way to go. My friend and I did a Contiki around New Zealand for 3 weeks. It was a great way to see the place and also meet some like-minded individuals.

  • Want to visit New Zealand but it’s so far away from London! One day. This trip looked amazing, great pictures πŸ™‚ Do u get a lot of time as well to spend on ur own on Contiki?

    • Thank you Rhea! I made really good friends with a Scottish girl! I’m off to Europe in August and I’m meeting up with her. πŸ™‚ She said that New Zealand is like Scotland but on steroids. Lol. πŸ™‚
Yeah you do get a fair bit of time to yourself when you do Contiki. You don’t always have to be with the group. There was a couple on their honeymoon in our group and some nights they’d go out with us and some nights they’d be out exploring the city on their own. It was great. Contiki organises activities that are included with the price you paid so we did all that but they also organise optional activities. πŸ™‚

  • These photographs are absolutely stunning! In the blue-ish one, are you in a rock cave or ice cave? Either way, it’s beautiful!
