Hey guys! Aren’t day offs just great?? I finally got around to editing my Paris photos. I’ve been going through them all day today and it’s giving me post-holiday blues.. already wishing I was back! Before you proceed, I wanted to give you a heads up and let you know that this is quite a photo-heavy post. If you’re into that sort of thing then enjoy! 😉Even though it was the equivalent of my monthly workout, if you visit Paris, you have to climb the Arc de Triomphe. It was a bit of a hike with its never-ending spiral staircase but the view at the top is well worth it. Beautiful Notre Dame. 🙂The Eiffel Tower is beautiful beyond words. We took a few tourist shots (jumping, trying to pick the Eiffel Tower up with our fingers) but they didn’t turn out as well as we hoped they would lol.We didn’t prebook any tickets for The Louvre so we had to queue up to get in then queue up again to purchase tickets. Once you’ve got your tickets, they have a map available from the information desk that shows you exactly where everything is. We were in The Louvre for about 3-4 hours. There she is, The Louvre’s main attraction. She’s lovely isn’t she. Quite smaller than what I had pictured in my head but it was great to finally meet her. Coming from Paris to Disneyland, we had to catch a train. If I remember correctly, it cost us 18 or 19 euros for a return ticket. Moulin Rouge is a must! I definitely recommend it. The queue is quite long so if the ticket you purchased doesn’t include dinner, I recommend you get there a couple of hours early and grab a bite before the show. Also, not sure if you’ve noticed but I kept the post brief in between photos. I didn’t want to hold you guys up while you were browsing through the photos.
Paris is such a lovely city (minus the few dirty toilets). The buildings are beautiful, classy and timeless. Prior to this trip, everyone kept saying that French people are rude. I think it’s just like any other city in the world really, you come across really nice people and you also come across the rude ones. When we were over there, we got lost trying to find the office of the tour company we booked with so we asked this lady for directions and what does she do? She whips her phone out and goes on google maps. Bloody legend. 🙂
When visiting Paris, I suggest you allot at least 5 full days so you can take your time seeing everything. Overall it was a great experience and we had a great time. I’d go back in a heartbeat. xx
