I’m not a fan of blackberries or raspberries on their own but I’ll have them when they’re mixed in with my smoothie. The thing about a smoothie is that they are so easy to make and you can pretty much throw any kind of fruit or vegetable in it. Here’s a recipe I came up with this morning for breakfast.
In theme of keeping the ingredients fresh and clean, I used filtered water for this recipe. Using cleaner and clearer filtered water in a smoothie like this paid off as this is probably one of the yummiest smoothies I’ve made in a while. What better way to kickstart your day than having a fresh smoothie on the go?
Mixed Berry & Flaxseed Smoothie Recipe
1 tbsp. flaxseed
2 handfuls of fresh (or frozen) berries
1/2 cup skinny milk
4 ice cubes of filtered water
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Top with berries for garnish. Quick, easy, delicious, refreshing and healthy!
