It’s Friday afternoon, I just got home from work and no one else is home. Alll by myselffffff. Don’t wanna be a party poop (aha, you thought I was going to sing the rest of the song didn’t you (if not then that’s awkward)) but I think I’m just going to have a quiet night tonight. Anyway, I was bored and a little bit hungry so I decided to make a quick smoothie. I haven’t made one in a while and I had some grapefruit laying around so thought, why not. I also decided to include some photos of myself promoting the finished product. 🙂
Grapefruit isn’t the best tasting fruit out there but it’s got a fair few health benefits like lowering the chances of ischematic stroke in women, prevention of constipation and it also helps combat the formation of free radicals that are known to cause cancer. Refer here.
Let’s get started shall we.
What You’ll Need
1 whole grapefruit, peeled and pips taken out
3 mint leaves
1 cup coconut water
How To Make It
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth! Garnish with a mint leaf.
I added the banana and the coconut water to counteract the bitterness of the grapefruit.
Oh hi there. As you can see, this is me enjoying my smoothie. Mmm so good. Looks irresistible. Go on, make it, you know you want to.
